If I change the expiration date on the 'place a hold page,' will I get the book faster?

(If you change the date to be sooner than a year later, ex. within 2 weeks)

Answer

Hello,

Changing the holds expiration date will not help you receive the item any faster, but may make your hold expire before you reach the front of the line. The holds expiration date (which is one year from the day you place your hold) is a default setting in our system.

Patrons in the holds queue are added to the queue in the order their holds have been placed.

Thank you,
