How many books can you have checked out at once?

Hello,
Carlsbad City Library cards may have a maximum of 100 items checked out on each account. With this limit, you may check out as many books, movies or music CD's as you like during your visit.
You may additionally have up to 6 ebooks and/or audiobooks checked out through our Overdrive collection.
In rare cases, patrons checking out and returning large numbers of items may have over 100 items show as checked out on their library account until their returns are processed in. Access to Overdrive ebooks and eaudiobooks will be suspended until physical checkouts drop below 100 in this case. This is a known system issue and we apologize.
