Register for library card online---can I do this?

Hello,
You may obtain a library account with the Carlsbad City Library by filling out a library card application. You don't have to be a resident of Carlsbad. We have an online application at https://cbcl.sdp.sirsi.net/client/en_US/home/search/registration/$N/SYMWS/true?
After completing the online application, you'll receive a temporary card number which will give you access to our eResources, and permit you to check out or reserve two physical items. The temp library card is valid for 14 days only. You will need to bring a government-issued photo ID and proof of your current address to get a permanent library card.
