How can I check out an eBook? Can I do this from home and download the book to my Kindle?

Thank you for your query. Yes, you can download and check out ebooks to your Kindle.  

  1. Our ebooks are provided by Overdrive. Carlsbad Library is a member of the Serra Cooperative Library System. The main website for our ebooks is https://serra.overdrive.com/
  2. To check out the ebook and send it to your Kindle, you will need both your Carlsbad City Library card#, and the login information for the Amazon account associated with your Kindle.
  3. For Kindle device specific help, see this page https://help.libbyapp.com/en-us/6017.htm
