Can I use my library card in all the libraries in San Diego?

Many of the libraries in San Diego are part of two large library systems, San Diego County Library and San Diego City Library. The Carlsbad City Library is not part of either of these systems. The Oceanside Public Library and Escondido Public Library are also individual library systems. Each system has its own library cards which don't work for libraries outside their system.
However, we welcome anyone who lives, works, or plays in Carlsbad to become a Carlsbad City Library patron and use any of our three locations. Read about Carlsbad City Library cards and apply online here.
