What is CultureGrams?
Answer
Hello,
CultureGrams is a library database organized into 4 areas of information. It's designed for grades 3 - adult. You'll need to use your Carlsbad City Library card# to access this database.
- World Edition profiles over 200 countries around the world, detailing customs, food, economics, and statistical data with text, photos, videos, recipes and interviews. Great resource if you're preparing to travel internationally. The Graphs and Tables tool allows detailed comparison of many data points between countries. This resource is most suitable for upper grades and adults.
- Kids' Edition offers a kids'-eye view of daily life in countries around the world. Drawing from the statistical base of the World edition reports, and including details from a younger perspective, this resource is most suitable for grades 4-7.
- States Edition features colorful, approachable information on each of the United States, including flags, state birds, and other data. Most suitable for grades 4-7.
- Canadian Provinces Edition contains information on each of the 13 Canadian provinces and territories. Similar to the States Edition, this is most suitable for grades 4-7.
