What happens to books and other items that are donated to the library?

Hello,
Donated items are added to the library's collection at the discretion of the Collection Development Librarian, with other items given to the Friends of the Carlsbad City Library as appropriate.
Every donation does benefit the library. Those items not added to the collection are sold by the Friends of the Carlsbad City Library with proceeds supporting Library collections and programs. We appreciate our donors' generosity.
