Hello. The library does own the 1982 DVD title The thing starring Kurt Russell.
To place a hold on the title, login to your account from the library's website, www.CarlsbadLibrary.org. You will need your account number and pin/password. Search for the title or actor and use the "Place Hold" button on the right. You will select your pickup location and when the item becomes available, you will be notified by text or email.
To pick up your item via the library's curbside service, simply park in a marked stall and call the number on the sign. A staff member will confirm your library card number, locate the item and bring it out to your vehicle. Items that are picked up can be placed in the trunk for your safety.
